Irrigation firm Hydro-Rain shifts entirely to renewable power

Irrigation firm Hydro-Rain shifts entirely to renewable power Source: EBRD

US irrigation solutions provider Hydro-Rain announced that its entire operations, from manufacturing to administrative activities, are now powered exclusively with renewable electricity as part of the company’s sustainability strategy.

“Transitioning to 100% renewable electric energy sources aligns with our firm dedication to efficient, reliable, easy-to-use irrigation products produced using sustainable practices,” managing director Alan Ence said in a statement on Tuesday.

North Salt Lake, Utah-headquartered Hydro-Rain has been part of the Gardena gardening division of Husqvarna (STO:HUSQ-B) after its acquisition by the Swedish outdoor equipment maker in November 2021.

Gardena, itself, announced the complete shift to electricity from renewable energy sources at its locations at the beginning of 2021.
