Italian renewables specialist Renergetica SpA (BIT:REN) has signed a contract to develop an up-to-10-MWp solar power plant to serve an industrial site owned by Alamo Cement Company Ltd in the US state of Texas.

Renergetica USA Corp will work on a photovoltaic (PV) project in San Antonio. The company typically covers all activities of the value chain excluding engineering, procurement and construction.

Davide Sommariva, president of the board of directors of Renergetica, stated that this new job further consolidates the presence of the company in the American market. In addition to Italy and the US, the firm is also active in Chile and Colombia.

The client, Alamo Cement, is part of Italian cement production group Buzzi Unicem SpA (BIT:BZU).
