Italian Gefran spins off systems-integration business

Italy's automation systems and components maker Gefran SpA (BIT:GE) said it approved Tuesday the spin-off of its systems-integration business by setting up a 100%-owned subsidiary, Gefran Soluzioni Srl.

Gefran Soluzioni will be an autonomous company from a point of view of research and development (R&D), sales and operations, and will make automation systems and provide assistance and supply spare parts to the customers.

The spin-off is motivated with the need to have an operational and organisational model for the new company capable of being competitive on the system integrators market, Gefran said.
