Italian green energy company ERG SpA (BIT:ERG) said on Tuesday that it has energised a 32.4-MW wind farm in France.

It is a greenfield project situated at Moulins du Bois in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region. The wind farm consists of nine Vestas V117 turbines, each with a capacity of 3.6 MW. Its annual production output is estimated at around 70 GWh, which is enough to power approximately 11,000 households.

The Moulins du Bois wind farm benefits from a tariff regime with a 20-year contract for difference, ERG said.

“We are very satisfied to have recently started up two wind farms in France, both resulting from organic development in line with what is outlined in our Industrial Plan. A significant step forward for ERG, which consolidates its presence in the country, the Group's second reference market with a total installed capacity of over 700 MW,” commented CEO Paolo Merli.
