Italy's Santermo to supply inverters for 5.0 MW power plant in Romania

Italy's Santermo said on Wednesday it will supply five inverters for a 5.0 megawatt (MW) solar power plant being built by U.S. company Greenwood Biosar in Romania.

"This contract also increases Santerno's market footprint in Eastern Europe; in the first six months of 2013 Santerno has installed photovoltaic (PV) inverters that deliver 35 MW of power in Romania and 40 MW of power in Greece," it said in a statement.

The solar park, located in the southern county of Calarasi, will have an annual output of 6,739 megawatt hours.

Greenwood Biosar is the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) division of Greenwood Energy.

Santerno, part of Carraro Group, designs and markets solar inverters and products used to produce electricity from renewable sources.
