Italy's TerniEnergia to build 2.5 MWp PV parks in Romania for Bissi Holding

Italian renewable energy company TerniEnergia said on Thursday it will build for a subsidiary of Italy's Bissi Holding Group three solar power parks in western Romania with a combined installed capacity of 2.5 megawatts-peak (MWp).

The value of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) assignment, which will be carried out by TerniEnergia's Romanian unit, amounts to some 2.8 million euro ($3.7 million), TerniEnergia said in a statement.

The working sites will be opened in the coming days in the area of Lugoj-Darova in Timis county.

The deal follows a framework agreement signed between the two companies in May, which envisaged the construction of six solar plants in western Romania with a total capacity of 5.5 MWp. The first three plants, worth 3.3 million euro, are completed and will soon be connected to the grid.

($ = 0.7515 euro)
