Chinese solar products maker JA Solar Technology Co Ltd (SHE:002459) announced on Thursday that a 13.06-MW solar farm equipped with its modules has been connected to the grid in Israel.

The Anami solar farm project, situated on privately-owned land in southern part of the country, was developed by Israeli independent power producer Marom Energy. JA Solar supplied a batch of high-efficiency solar modules, while its local partner Ralco Energy provided full services for the project and logistics and technical support.

The Anami solar farm will enable the landowner to benefit from a new source of income, JA Solar said, without going into details about the project.

The Chinese company highlighted Israel’s abundant light resources, which make the country an ideal location for solar power generation. It said it gained a market share of around 25% in Israel by the end of 2022.
