Sep 18, 2024 13:50 CESTChinese solar products maker JA Solar Technology Co Ltd (SHE:002459) is set to supply its photovoltaic modules for a 240-MW solar power project in Bulgaria.
JA Solar’s high-efficiency TOPCon modules DeepBlue 4.0 Pro will be used in the construction of a solar farm in Tenevo village, southeastern Bulgaria, the Chinese company said.
The order follows the signing of a cooperation agreement between JA Solar and Eastern European renewable energy EPC contractor Solarpro, which is in charge of managing the entire lifecycle of the project, from design to implementation and monitoring.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is financing the project, JA Solar said.
The installation of the modules is due to commence in the third quarter of 2024. The solar farm is expected to become operational by the end of the second quarter of 2025.
