World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTThe new energy transition platform of India’s diversified energy and infrastructure company Jakson Group on Tuesday boasted orders to build more than 1 GW of renewable energy projects across India, Africa and the Middle East.
Jakson Green has won engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts with renewable power producers in the Middle East for projects in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Africa, in addition to its renewable EPC orders in India, including a recent deal to build India’s largest commercial and industrial (C&I) solar park in Rajasthan.
The company is also set to deliver large-scale energy storage EPC co-located with some of these projects, Jakson Green said as quoted by PTI.
The financial details of the orders were not disclosed.
“We are extremely humbled and delighted by the faith and trust shown by our clients in the solar, energy storage and hydrogen and new energies space, as evidenced by the impressive global order book we have secured since inception,” Jakson Green’s CEO Bikesh Ogra noted.
Launched in 2022, Jakson Green is focused on EPC, IPP, IHP and O&M of new energy assets spanning solar, utility-scale storage, waste-to-energy, fuel cell technologies, gasification-based projects, green hydrogen and green ammonia projects. The company plans to deliver 5 GW of renewable energy assets by 2025 and 10 GW by 2030. It also intends to set foot in the electrolyser manufacturing market.
The energy transition platform late last year won a contract to build a 121-MW solar park in the state of Rajasthan on behalf of compatriot Amplus Solar.
