Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTMBJ Airports Limited (MBJ) has launched a public tender for a contractor to build a 1-MWac solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica, in a bid to reduce its power purchase costs.
The solar system should be designed so that it allows future expansions, according to tender guidelines posted on the website of the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). The tender will award an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract.
The Sangster airport operator has chosen the rooftop of the terminal as the preferred location for the solar array, although other settings have also been identified.
The deadline for proposals is June 14, 2019.
