Japan's NTT to procure power from 70-MW solar project Japanese solar photovoltaic plant

Clean Energy Connect Co Ltd announced on Friday it will deploy 70 MW of solar power generating capacity for the benefit of the NTT Group in Japan.

Tokyo-based Clean Energy Connect said it will develop the project under an electricity procurement contract with NTT Anode Energy Corp, which will eventually supply the output mainly to the telecommunications group. This will be done through an offsite power purchase agreement (PPA).

The project is expected to be finalised by 2023.

Going forward, Clean Energy Connect and NTT Anode plan to continue their collaboration in order to help Japan achieve its environmental goals.
