Japan's Shizen, Kyuden to jointly develop renewables in Southeast Asia

Japanese renewables developer Shizen Energy Inc said on Friday its subsidiary Shizen International Inc has partnered up with Kyuden International Corp to work together in the renewable energy business with a focus on Southeast Asia.

Through this new capital alliance, the companies plan to expand the renewable energy business by utilising Shizen’s know-how and local networks with Kyuden’s technological and developmental expertise.

With a presence in several Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, Shizen International has a worldwide portfolio of 136.44 MW from rooftop and ground-mount solar as well as wind parks, according to information available on its website.
