Greek renewable independent power producer (IPP) Jasper Wind SA will receive EUR 63 million (USD 68.9m) in debt financing to back the construction of three wind farms at home with a combined capacity of 41 MW.

The loan agreement was signed with Germany’s Deutsche Bank AG (ETR:DBK) and Greece-based Attica Bank, the Greek lender said on Wednesday.

The funding package will go toward a portfolio of three wind projects in Laconia, in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece, which are already under construction. Building works have been ongoing since last year and the plants are expected to go live in September.

The entire portfolio will be installed at a total cost of EUR 80 million, which Jasper is sourcing from long-term loan facilities and its own capital resources.

Attica Bank was the lead arranger of the new funding transaction and Deutsche Bank acted as the structuring bank.

Launched in 1998, Jasper Wind has roughly 200 MW of installed capacity, including the three wind farms in Laconia. The company is working on a development pipeline of over 1,000 MW of projects in Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania.
