JERA Co Inc has set up a new company, JERA Cross, to provide “end-to-end” decarbonisation solutions to help companies with their green transformation.

The Japanese power company said on Monday the new entity combines its energy, digital and business transformation capabilities. To start full-scale operations on June 1, the new firm's services will include designing green transformation visions and strategies, providing support from development to supply of renewable energy and providing a stable supply of carbon-free power all around.

JERA Cross has signed an agreement to be supported by consultancy McKinsey & Company.

JERA’s chief strategy officer Junya Tawa said that JERA Cross will partner with customers to simultaneously solve the green transformation’s technological issue of how to decarbonise the energy consumed and the strategic issue of how to link decarbonisation to the specific corporate strategy.

Last month, JERA launched a UK-based global green energy business.
