Chinese solar module maker JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) has secured a deal to supply 3.8 GW of its N-type Tiger Neobifacial modules for two solar farm projects developed by Saudi Arabian power and water company ACWA Power Co (TADAWUL:2082).

The contract, which was announced today, will secure the modules needed for ACWA Power’s 1.581-GWp Al Kahfah and the 2.257-GWp Ar Rass 2 projects under development at home, according to a press release.

Once, operational Al Kahfah and Ar Rass 2 are expected to produce enough power to meet the needs of 750,000 households.

JinkoSolar noted in the statement that the contract marks the largest ever supply agreement with ACWA Power.

"We look forward to a much broader, higher level and strategic alliance with JinkoSolar in solar generation, energy storage and other renewable fields," said Yunhe Lv, executive vice president of ACWA Power China.
