China’s JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) has inked a contract to supply 1 GW of solar modules for the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project of a group led by Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power Co (TADAWUL:2082) and Air Products (NYSE:APD) which is under construction in Saudi Arabia.

The order was placed by Indian engineering major Larsen & Toubro Ltd (NSE:LT), or L&T, which is in charge of the renewable energy generation, storage and grid infrastructure for the NEOM project. It concerns JinkoSolar’s Tiger Neo 'N-Type TOPCon modules, the Chinese firm noted in a social media post on Friday.

ACWA Power, NEOM and Air Products achieved financial close on the Neom green hydrogen plant in May 2023 at USD 8.4 billion (EUR 7.76bn). The facility is planned to go online in 2026.
