Chinese solar manufacturer JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) announced today it will equip SchneiTec Group's 60-MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Cambodia.

Located in Kompong Speu province, the facility will feature more than 200,000 of JinkoSolar’s Eagle crystalline modules. Supply is scheduled to start within five months, the Chinese company said.

Expected to be one of the biggest solar power plants in Cambodia, the PV park's effective commercial operation date (COD) is estimated for December 2019.

Gener Miao, JinkoSolar's Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, commented that the firm has great expectations for the entire region. "The region's booming populations, strong economic growth engines, and abundant sunlight represent an exciting opportunity for solar and for JinkoSolar," Miao noted.
