JSW Renew Energy Two Ltd, a subsidiary of Indian power company JSW Energy Ltd (BOM:533148), has commissioned a 300-MW wind farm in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, the parent group announced on Sunday.

The inter-state grid-connected (ISTS) project was awarded by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under the tranche X bidding scheme. It is JSW Energy's first-ever greenfield wind farm commissioned for SECI, the company said.

“This achievement moves us closer to our target of 10 GW installed capacity by FY2025. Additionally, we have a robust pipeline of renewable projects, propelling us towards our goal of 20 GW before 2030,” commented Sharad Mahendra, Joint Managing Director and CEO of JSW Energy.

JSW Energy has further 150 MW of wind capacity in the state of Tamil Nadu secured in SECI’s tranche X auction. This project, located in Dharapuram, is nearing completion with 138 MW already commissioned.

The company currently has 2,152 MW of installed wind power capacity out of a grand total of 7,726 MW. Its current renewable energy pipeline stands at 8.3 GW, with power purchase agreements (PPAs) signed for 2.3 GW, according to JSW Energy.
