World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTGerman firm Juwi AG and Asia Green Capital Partners have officially established a joint venture (JV) in Singapore, which will develop, finance, construct and operate photovoltaic (PV) plants across South and Southeast Asia.
The entity, called Aurora Partners Pte Ltd, will focus on identifying and then executing solar projects across key geographical markets, including Indonesia, India, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, Juwi said in a press release on Wednesday. “India and Southeast Asia are one of the most exciting PV solar markets and long-term potential is enormous,” Juwi Asia-Pacific regional director, Amiram Roth-Deblon, noted.
Through its unit Juwi Renewable Energies Pte Ltd, the German renewables firm will provide its technical, development and construction know-how. In turn, the Asian sector player and investment company will contribute its project expertise and financial resources.
At present, Juwi has over 60 projects with a combined capacity of more than 400 MW that are completed or under construction in the Asia-Pacific region. Asia Green, on its part, has a portfolio of over 350 MW in Southeast Asia.
