Mingyang sets up wind turbine manufacturing JV in S Korea
Sep 05, 2024 13:32 CEST(ADPnews) - Jun 15, 2010 - Korea-based Shinhan Engineering & Cons Co Ltd (SEO:005450) plans to build a 60 MW wind power farm in Makha city of Yemen, the first one in the country.
The preparation for the project was discussed on Saturday during a meeting netween the Yemeni Minister of Electricity and Energy Awad al-Socatri and Chun Hwan Kim, the chairman of the Korean company.
According to Al-Socatri, the government would offer all facilities so that the project could be executed on time. Meanwhile, Hwan Kim said that works on the plant would start in two months and be completed within ten months from the start of the operational work for the establishment of the station.
The plans to build the wind farm date back to October 2009, when the ministry and Shinhan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
