PRISTINA (Kosovo), November 15 (SeeNews) – Kosovo's gross electricity production grew to 1,417.3 GWh in the third quarter of 2019, from 1,294.2 GWh in the previous quarter, Kosovo's statistical agency said on Friday.

Thermal power plants produced 1,338.1 GWh of electricity, while hydro power plants generated 79.2 GWh, Kosovo's statistical agency said in a statement.

Kosovo imported 410.9 GWh of electricity in the third quarter, up from 251.1 GWh in the second quarter. Power exports rose to 437.1 GWh from 134.2 GWh.

Coal output increased to 1.84 million tonnes in the third quarter from 1.74 million tonnes in the April-June period.

Kosovo's power consumption increased 11.8% year-on-year to 1.034.7 GWh in the third quarter. Households had a share of 51.4% in total consumption.
