Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTTIRANA (Albania), January 10 (SeeNews) – The Albanian government said Kurum International has won the privatisation tender of the company that operates hydro power plants (HPPs) Ulez and Shkopet with a 57.5 million euro ($75.3 million) offer.
The government said on its website it approved on Wednesday the tender commission's final report which names Kurum International as the winner in the tender for the purchase of 100% of HEC Ulez Shkopet.
The Albanian economy and energy ministry will now negotiate and sign the sale contract with the selected buyer.
HPP Ulez has a capacity of 25.2 megawatts (MW) while that of HPP Shkopet is 24 MW.
Operating Istanbul-based Kurum Holding’s investment and production efforts in the Balkans, Kurum International is involved in iron and steel production, lime and oxygen production, as well as loading, unloading, storage, shipping brokerage and logistics operations.
