Kuwait's EnerTech, Morgan Solar enter CPV partnership

Apr 28, 2014 - Kuwait’s EnerTech Holding will use the concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) module technology of Canadian solar power firm Morgan Solar Inc to make solar panels.

EnerTech, part of the National Technology Enterprises Co (NTEC), unveiled the partnership agreement on Sunday. The deal is in line with the Kuwait-based firm’s goal of transferring and promoting renewable energy technologies in Kuwait and diversifying the country’s power sources, chief operating officer Abdullah Al-Mutairi noted.

Morgan Solar makes CPV systems and PV balance of system (BOS) components. The company offers the Savanna dual-axis tracker for solar parks and the Sun Simba modular concentrating solar panel. In August 2013, Morgan Solar said it was holding meetings with Indian state officials and commercial parties, seeking to expand its operations on the Indian solar market.
