Renewables rise and Russian gas declines, says EC report
Sep 12, 2024 11:11 CEST(ADPnews) - Dec 13, 2010 - France may open to investors the uranium mining and renewable energy operations of French state-owned nuclear engineer Areva (EPA:CEI), daily Les Echos reported today, citing Economy and Finance Minister Christine Lagarde.
The statement followed the decision of Areva's supervisory board to allow Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) to enter the capital of Areva. The board has promised to list the shares of the company by the end of June 2011.
If by this period, the shares are not listed, KIA could return its stake to the French state, under the terms of the shareholders' agreement.
Today at 1515 CET shares in Areva had inched up 1.91% to EUR 358.0 on Euronext Paris.
