EU opens new call for PCI, PMI energy infrastructure projects
Sep 18, 2024 15:49 CESTFrance’s Lhyfe (EPA:LHYFE) has teamed up with domestic industrial engineering group Fives to create a joint solution for industry, offering everything from green hydrogen production to combustion.
The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining their partnership, green hydrogen project developer Lhyfe said on Thursday. The goal of their initiative will be to decarbonise industrial combustion processes using green hydrogen.

Under the plan, Lhyfe will produce and supply green hydrogen and Fives will provide solutions for the green fuel’s use in various industrial combustion processes. The duo will mostly focus on the metals, glass and cement industries, targeting selected industrial heating processes and applications in Europe and North America.
“We are proud to be partnering with Lhyfe, to respond together to the urgency of climate change and make industrial processes more sustainable and efficient,” said Frederic Thrum, deputy general manager of Fives.
Life launched its first electrolysis plant for the production of green hydrogen in 2021, followed by two more in 2023. The company is currently building additional facilities across Europe.
