Solar expansion in Germany slows down to 790 MW in August
Sep 18, 2024 14:19 CESTGerman renewable energy supplier LichtBlick SE has extended an existing power purchase agreement (PPA) with Hamburg-based green electricity trader Sunnic Lighthouse for another two years.
The new deal covers an annual solar power supply of around 38 GWh until 2026. This is sufficient to meet the needs of around 17,000 private households annually, LichtBlick said. The power will be generated by eight solar parks in Germany.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
LichtBlick has been supplying green electricity for over 25 years. The company has also been focused on own power generation projects, along with storage projects. In June, it agreed to set up a joint venture with solar developer Energisto eG to work on large-scale battery storage projects.
