Simply Blue names Goldboro as location for Canadian SAF hub
Sep 16, 2024 10:58 CESTSep 23, 2013 - The insolvency administrator of Global PVQ SE, which was created after Korean Hanwha Chemical (KRX:009835) bought the market rights for bankrupt German solar maker Q-Cells SE, has sold seven ex-Q-Cells solar plants in Canada.
The price for the plants with a total capacity of 67 MW is in the double-digit million euro range. Those proceeds will be included to the insolvency sum to be used to repay former Q-Cells creditors in 2014.
Three of the solar plants, with a total capacity of 25 MW, were taken over by the Rainy River First Nations, an organisation of Canadian natives. The other four plants were acquired by the Fiera Axium Infrastructure Canada II L.P. infrastructure fund.
The transfer of the assets has already been completed, Global PVQ SE said.
