Equinor, Iberdrola reportedly back out of renewables in several markets
Aug 30, 2024 14:47 CESTChinese photovoltaics (PV) manufacturer Longi Solar announced today the recent completion of a 1.47-MWp rooftop solar power system in Vietnam for premium automobile interior system manufacturer Toyota Boshoku Group.
The Chinese company has supplied solar modules from the Hi-MO 4 series for this project, while Solar Electric Vietnam JSC (SEV) took care of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work.
"We remain confident in the development of Vietnamese and Southeast Asia market since the cost of solar power is already cheaper than what most utilities are offering,” said Dennis She, LONGi's President of Global Sales & Marketing.
The new solar array is estimated to offset more than 1,582 MWh of energy consumption per year for Toyota Boshoku Group.
