China’s Longi Solar today said it has received an order for 70 MWp of its solar modules for a project in Pakistan.

The contract was signed with Reon Energy Pakistan, which will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work. The project includes four-five ground-mounted installations at different sites of a local cement group.

Longi will deliver modules from its Hi-MO 5 series for the project.

Once completed, this will be the biggest commercial photovoltaic (PV) installation in the country, according to the statement. The project, which is also the biggest for Reon Energy to date, is expected to become operational in the third quarter of the year.
