Lifting and transport company Mammoet and Samyang Marine Group, which specialises in stevedoring services for heavy cargo, will join forces to build offshore service port (OSP) facilities in South Korea to support the growing offshore wind industry and other sectors.

The agreed partnership will pool Mammoet's expertise in heavy lifting and integrated logistics with Samyang's local knowledge and extensive terminal operations capabilities to serve projects in South Korea and the broader Asia-Pacific region. It will integrate full-spectrum terminal management, a press statement said on Monday.

The targeted OSPs are located in the ports of Busan and Masan.

“This partnership is all about leveraging our combined strengths to create value and foster the growth of renewable energy in the region,” said Jack van den Brink, managing director of Mammoet Projects AMEA.
