NGK to supply NAS batteries for demo project in Hungary
Aug 30, 2024 16:46 CESTChinese photovoltaic (PV) products maker JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO) has joined hands with Budapest-based Manitu Solar to distribute its solar products in Hungary.
The partnership is aimed at expanding the Chinese company’s foothold on the Eastern European solar market, JA Solar said in a press release on Friday.
Manitu Solar is involved in the wholesale and distribution of Tier-1 solar products and also develops PV projects. The company’s distribution network includes more than 300 downstream companies. Its CEO Norbert Nagy noted that the deal with JA Solar will speed up the deployment of solar in Hungary and Eastern European countries.
JA Solar, which in November 2017 agreed to be taken private by a group led by its chairman and chief executive Baofang Jin, holds a 10% of the global solar market. On Thursday, the Chinese firm said it expects to have shipped between 7.5 GW and 7.8 GW of PV modules and cells in 2017.
