KKR fund increases tender offer price for Greenvolt
Sep 19, 2024 15:32 CEST(ADPnews) - Jan 6, 2010 - Martifer Solar, the renewable energy unit of Portuguese holding group Martifer (ELI:MAR), has obtained a EUR-30-million (USD 43.1m) order for the supply and installation of two solar power plants in Cape Verde.
Martifer Solar signed a contract for the projects with Cape Verde's ministry of economy, growth and competition, the company said in a filing today.
The two plants should be installed on the Sal and Santiago islands within seven months. According to Martifer Solar, they will be the two biggest photovoltaic (PV) plants in Africa. The facility in Santiago will have a capacity of 5 MW and that in Sol -- a capacity of 2.5 MW.
The two plants will contribute some 4% to the energy production capacity of Cape Verde, CEO of Martifer Solar, Henrique Rodrigues said. They will avoid 13,000 tonnes of harmful CO2 emissions.
