Experienced rooftop solar project contractors are invited to express their interest by May 13 in taking on turnkey solar school projects in the State of Palestine.

With this expression of interest (EOI) invitation, Massader, the natural resources and infrastructure development arm of the Palestine Investment Fund (PIF), aims to prequalify bidders who will later receive request for proposal (RFP) documents.

PIF signed in January a framework agreement with Ministry of Education of Palestine for the installation of 35 MWp of photovoltaic (PV) power capacity at up to 500 schools over three to four years. The average size of the separate systems will be 70 kWp. Massader is to select up to five contractors with which to sign framework agreements related to the engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover of rooftop solar PV systems at specific schools.

Companies and consortia planning to respond to the EOI call need to demonstrate experience in the implementation of at least 2 MWp of rooftop solar project in the last seven years, including at least two projects of 100 kWp or bigger.
