Medserv to put 2.05 MWp of PV panels on Malta warehouse roofs

Sep 18, 2013 - Malta-based logistics services Medserv will power up a 2.05-MWp solar system on top its warehouses at the Malta Freeport in the second quarter of next year.

The company said today it had selected ElectroFix Energy Ltd to take care of the installation. Work is to commence immediately.

The photovoltaic (PV) power plant will include 8,211 panels, which are estimated to produce 3,420 MWh annually. The system will offset 2,975.3 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year, while also bringing additional revenue to Medserv.

Malta has set a target to generate 10% of its energy from renewables by 2020.
