Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTSwiss energy company The meeco Group will partner with electric products maker and distributor Powerspeed Electrical in Zimbabwe to offer solar turnkey solutions.
Meeco said Tuesday the two firms have formed a joint venture Onesun Solar Ltd to install clean energy systems in Zimbabwe. Via the partnership, meeco’s solar turnkey solutions are being sold through Powerspeed’s outlets in Zimbabwe and also directly to private and commercial clients.
The offering includes a rooftop solar system, the sun2roof solution, for Zimbabwe with installations of 50 kWp to 400 kWp per site. Meeco also has solar-plus-storage and intelligent energy management systems it will offer in the African country.
“The energy from the abundant sunlight seems to be the best solution to meet the country’s power demand and, at the same time, allows for economic growth,” the Swiss company said.
