(ADPnews) - Feb 24, 2011 - US silicon wafers maker MEMC Electronic Materials Inc (NYSE:WFR) on Wednesday unveiled plans to sell USD 500 million (EUR 364m) of senior unsecured notes maturing in 2019.
The private-placement transaction hinges on market and other conditions and the notes will be guaranteed by certain of MEMC's subsidiaries.
The company will use the money raised from the notes sale for solar power capacities construction, for working capital, strategic investments and acquisitions and other general corporate needs.
