Polish renewables equipment wholesaler Menlo Electric and China’s solar modules maker JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) have agreed to expand their existing distribution partnership to add another 1 GW for the next 12 months.

The partnership covers Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South Africa where Menlo Electric integrated 1 GW of Jinko photovoltaic modules over the past three years.

Menlo Electric has been named the leading distributor of JinkoSolar products in the MENA region, ranking as the second-largest in South Africa and securing a position among the top three distributors in Europe, it said in a press statement on Friday.

The two companies are also partnering on corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives under the Solar2Share Collective, having successfully built 15 solar stations of a combined 400 kW at hospitals, schools and kindergartens across seven countries.
