Meyer Burger's CEO and CFO to exit as revamp plan unveiled
Sep 18, 2024 11:49 CESTAug 24, 2012 - Peter Pauli, the CEO of Swiss solar technology company Meyer Burger (SWF:MBTN), expects stabilisation and recovery of production in the photovoltaic (PV) industry in the next three years.
He said in an interview with daily L'Agefi that his company continues to see potential in terms of demand and has initiated the respective measures to overcome the crisis on the market.
The CEO also said that production in Switzerland is not put in question and Meyer Burger even plans to strengthen its production activities in the Thun municipality.
According to Pauli, when the ongoing consolidation on the PV market is completed, Meyer Burger will be well-positioned to cope with the new challenges.
At the same time, Meyer Burger's financial situation is currently hit by the problems of the company's clients, who are unable to book profits. Therefore, the company will focus on those clients, which are still making investments, the CEO said. Meyer Burger also aims to win new clients in Southeastern Asia, South America or Africa.
