US casino operator MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM) said today that it is set to double its access to solar electricity as it signed a new power offtake deal with Estuary Power tied to a 115-MW solar-plus-storage project in Lincoln County, Nevada.

The companies have entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) related to The Escape Solar + Storage project that is expected to be completed in early 2026.

The facility, which will be operated by Estuary, will produce enough clean electricity to power more than 28,000 average homes annually. The power generation at the site will be backed by a 100-MW/400-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).

MGM Resorts has already procured enough solar power to cover 90% of the total daytime energy needs at 11 of its Las Vegas Strip properties. With the new PPA, it will achieve 100%.
