Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTMoldova's energy regulator said it launched a process that will result in the allocation of quotas for 235 MW of electricity from renewable sources at fixed tariffs
The process will open on April 1 for applicants with projects related to non-intermittent renewables such as biomass, biogas, synthesis gas and hydropower, while wind and solar projects will be allowed to enter from April 8 and April 15, respectively, the National Agency for Energy Regulation, ANRE, said in a notice on its website on Wednesday.
The agency will be looking to grant the eligible status to producers within the following quotas: 15 MW of wind, including 3 MW of small turbines; 70 MW of solar, including 50 MW of rooftop projects on buildings; up to 100 MW of biogas-based cogeneration plants; 15 MW of syngas; 30 MW of cogeneration plants using direct combustion; and 5 MW of hydropower.
The table below shows the ceiling prices for each renewable energy source, as approved by ANRE on February 25, 2022. The prices are shown in Moldovan leu per kWh.
Commissioning period | Solar | Wind | Hydro | Biomass cogeneration | Solid biomass cogeneration |
Jan 1, 2020 - Dec 31, 2021 | 1.91 | 1.58 | 0.99 | 1.87 | 1.99 |
After Jan 1, 2022 | 1.88 | 1.55 | 0.97 | 1.84 | 1.96 |
As announced earlier this month, both Ukraine and Moldova completed an emergency synchronisation of their power grids with the Continental European network in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
