Qair, EPCG to explore opportunities for renewables in Montenegro
Sep 12, 2024 15:32 CESTPODGORICA (Montenegro), May 3 (SeeNews) – Montenegro said it has awarded a power permit to local firm Synergy for the construction of a small hydro power plant (SHPP) with installed capacity of 587.5 kilowatts.
The investment costs for the Vrelo SHPP, located in the municipality of Bijelo Polje, are seen at 990,000 euro ($1.3 million), the country's economy ministry said.
After the issuing of the two-year power permit, which happened in March, Podgorica-based Synergy should sign a concession deal with the Montenegrin government, clearing the way for the award of a construction permit for the project.
