World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTDec 10, 2013 - Sentiment in the German renewable energy sector deteriorated further last month, with the index measuring the mood falling to 94.1 points in November from 97.9 points in October, renewable energy institute IWR said on Monday.
According to the institute, the morale was influenced by the new government's plans for the energy policy. The November reading represents a five-month low.
According to the coalition agreement, the share of renewable power generation should not exceed 40% to 45% of total consumption by 2025, and 55% to 60% by 2035.
The sub-index measuring expectations for the next six months showed that the companies expect a positive development concerning future exports.
The business climate index is issued by IWR and measures the morale among companies in the renewable energy industry. The index has remained below the 100-point threshold, separating pessimism from optimism, since 2011.
