World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CEST(SeeNews) – Dec 7, 2011 - Moser Baer Clean Energy, the renewable energy unit of Moser Baer India (BOM:517140), today announced plans to pump USD 1 billion (EUR 745m) into solar power projects in India and abroad over the coming nine months, the Press Trust of India said.
The overall capacity of the projects will be 300 MW, with 150 MW to be located in India and the same amount abroad, Moser Baer India's executive director, Ratul Puri, told reporters at a media event in New Delhi. The facilities will be established in India's states of Gujarat, Orissa, West Bengal and Rajasthan, and in countries such as Germany, Italy and the UK.
Puri also said the company aims to raise its solar power generation capacity to 1 GW by 2015.
