Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTIsotron SA, part of Spanish group Isastur, has won the contract to build the Santa Rosa & Villa Sol solar power plants in El Salvador with a combined capacity of 21.07 MWp.
The news was announced today by the owner of the project, MPC Energy Solutions (MPCES), which will invest USD 26 million (EUR 22m) in total. About 75% of that sum will be covered by a project financing facility.
As the newly-appointed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, Isotron will begin building works this month with the goal of completing the solar parks in 2022. Once up and running, they are estimated to produce nearly 43 GWh a year. Their entire output will be sold to CAESS, the local subsidiary of US energy company AES Corp (NYSE:AES), under a 20-year USD-denominated power purchase agreement (PPA).
MPCES expects at least USD 3.5 million in an annual revenue contribution from the solar farms.
