MPower, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Australian power sector investor Tag Pacific Ltd (ASX:TAG), has executed a full engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 5-MW solar project in South Australia.

The value of the contract exceeds AUD 8 million (USD 5.8m/EUR 5.1m) and the project it concerns is expected to be finalised this fiscal year, Tag Pacific said on Thursday.

The particular scheme is being developed in Port Pirie by Renew Power Group Pty Limited. Its capacity in direct current (DC) amounts to 6.1 MW.

“MPower continues to strengthen its order book and secure new decentralised power generating opportunities such as the Port Pirie Solar Farm,” said Nathan Wise, Tag's CEO.
