LEAG breaks ground on 31 MW solar project in Germany
Sep 17, 2024 12:22 CESTIsrael-based agri-food tech company N2OFF Inc (NASDAQ:NITO) and Solterra Renewable Energy Ltd are considering expanding their joint 111-MWp solar project in Germany by either increasing the capacity or coupling it with energy storage.
Deliberations started after the partners secured a grid-connection approval for the project and a following report presented by Solterra, N2OFF said in a statement on Wednesday.
The approved grid connection capacity exceeds the 97 MW required by the project by about 10% and thus the partners are now considering two options to maximise value by either increasing the site’s capacity by up to 10% or adding a battery energy storage system (BESS).
A final decision will be made following further examination, the press statement says.
