The paper quoted president Nangolo Mbumba’s speech that said the project was 80% complete.

The Green Hydrogen Village is situated in the Daures Constituency, Erongo region, in an area that largely depends on communal subsistence farming. According to the project sheet, the pilot phase will feature 1.3 MW of solar power and 0.5 MW of electrolysers. Phase 2 and 3 will incorporate wind power and ramp up solar and electrolysis capacity, culminating in phase 4, which will have 400 MW of solar power, 600 MW of wind and 420 MW of electrolysers.

President Mbumba said the project had concluded studies to develop green ammonia sulphate fertiliser and received interest from the World Food Programme and Agribusdev to procure locally produced green fertiliser, The Namibian reported.
