Paris-based cable manufacturer Nexans SA (EPA:NEX) has struck a deal to acquire La Triveneta Cavi, an Italian industrial cable maker offering solutions for building, infrastructure, fire-retardant cable systems and renewable applications.

Set up in 1965 La Triveneta Cavi specialises in the medium- and low-voltage segments. The company has three cable production units and one in-house copper drawing facility. It is active across 30 countries. The business, which employs about 700 people, booked twelve-month revenue of over EUR 800 million (USD 861.3m).

“La Triveneta Cavi will bring to Nexans [...] technological platform capabilities to enhance our product portfolio and will enable the acceleration of new sustainable offer launches in high-demand markets,” Nexans’ CEO Christopher Guerin noted in the statement.

The transaction is subject to regulatory clearances and other customary closing conditions.
