The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) launched the Expressions of Interest (EOI) stage of a competitive process through which it will award the construction of a 10-MWp solar park in Kano State.

Both local and international parties that are interested in participating can submit documents by June 3, 2020. Companies and consortia shortlisted based on their EOI submissions will proceed to the Request for Proposals (RfP) stage.

The winner will be tasked with the design and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), as well as the commissioning and operation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) power facility in Kumbotso.

The project is sponsored by the country’s federal government and will be co-owned by Haske Solar Co Ltd, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) held by the federal, state and local governments.
