Equinor, Iberdrola reportedly back out of renewables in several markets
Aug 30, 2024 14:47 CESTTotalEnergies ENEOS announced on Monday it will expand the solar power generation capacity at a sports shoe factory in Vietnam under a new long-term agreement with its operator, namely Golden Victory Vietnam Co Ltd.
The joint venture (JV) of French energy group TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) and Japan’s ENEOS Corporation will install more than 7,900 of photovoltaic (PV) modules totalling 4.6 MWp to increase the capacity of an existing rooftop solar array to 7.5 MWp.
TotalEnergies ENEOS will fully fund, install and operate the PV system, while the footwear manufacturer will pay for the generated electricity over a period of 20 years.
Golden Victory’s factory is located in Nam Dinh Province, Northern Vietnam, where it mainly produces sports shoes for the Nike brand. The company is owned by Stella International Holdings Ltd.
